Blurt

Blurt is a band that made a song called Puppeteer, I like the really interesting and weird costumes in this video. It is like my older work were they look rough and have a comedic value to them, especially when it has the speed increased.

Diabolo's Workshop

After his planetary success Snow Show that made him a star in the USA, Slava Polunin asked Terry Gilliam to join him to help him recreate an old show of his : Diabolo. This is and weird circle that happened. the fact that these two people have worked together when like both of there work and have looked at both alot in the past

Jabberwocky

Oh snap it's the Jabberwocky!  Another Terry Gillian piece of work, I like the Jabberwocky costume in this the way it is very tall and comedic looking... even though it looks like it could eat the knight alive. But then i also like the knight helmet and the view at the beginning when looking through the visor. The costume was made by Hazel Pethig, Going tpo look into more of here work I think.

Parts of the cast I am most interested in:
Costumes HAZEL PETHIG and CHARLES KNODE
Special Effects JOHN F. BROWN & EFFECTS ASSOCIATES
Monster Creation VALARIE CHARLTON and CLINTON CAVERS and JEN EFFECTS

All I need to know about the Jaberwocky.

Helmet designs

Looking for a helmet that goes with my newest costume.... hmmm not sure theses fit it going to try drawing different ideas in my book. I do like purple castle crashers one though, think the antlers would work with the costume i have so far.

Animals animatronics

The saber tooth cat made by the people at Jim Henson's creatures shop

After looking at my dog (olli) i decided to look at how people have made animals before looking at the technical side to it all and the muscle structure because they are different to the humans. Also that cats use for legs to walk on same as dogs humans don't. The only problem is that cats have a certain walk and movement about them which i don't think the saber tooth cat got in the costume. It looks too much like a costume than a realistic cat. This is why i looked at the raptors from Jurassic park they have humans in them but look very bird like and this is what you expect raptor to move like. The menacing movements and quick jerky head actions.

Quadsuit Stilts

I had never heard of quadsuits before they work like normal stilts but for your arms and have the joints all involved so it makes it look alot more realistic. They ones this person has made have big feet and are made out of pipe, foam, bolts and elastic. They seem very easy to make but maybe i can make wooden ones... this might  be what i was looking for.  More quadstilts that are made from pipe again but these are less fleshy, They also look like they would work better for a horse.

Black light theatre

Really love the way items move like 'magic' but it's just people in morph/full black suits.
This looks like a really good show to watch just for the effects and the way items move with the actors. What i want to know is how do they move exactly right on queue with out even any mistakes, this must have taken sooooo many rehearsals.

Falling off platforms

This is the danger of making tall platforms, I don't want to be walking along then this happens and I really injure myself. This is why I don't want to fasten myself to my work in case i do lose balance. Although I do like this item of clothing in the video looks really inventive and kinda like a cityscape with a huge white tree or cloud. But showing this Tyler make him cry with happiness and I have no idea why! so there could be something comical in people falling over in heel and dressed up or it could just be Tyler.

Platform shoes

How do people walk on these.. Like really broken legs and all that, I do like the interesting upside down reflection ones though. looks like you are walking on a mirror all the time.

Genius

I may need to try make this

Walking on stilts

Someone testing out some stilts

Making platforms!

Stilts made from polystyrene, duck tape and sticks. Worked ok but was very flimsy and squishy. The concept worked they are good for movement but after a while the sticks moved from place and the polystyrene was so giving in the end my legs started to shake from being on soft ground.
